Laurie Dougherty

Laurie joined Penn Mutual in 2008 and is currently the manager of Learning & Development. She manages Penn Mutual’s Business Continuity and Succession programs, and believes all advisers should have a continuity plan in place. She is also responsible for the content and delivery of all field training, including live events, virtual sessions, and management of the Learning Resource Center (LRC).

Laurie was initially hired as a trainer for the company’s SmartOffice rollout, and trained advisers and field leaders on how to use the system to help grow their Practice. Prior to joining Penn Mutual, Laurie was a sales director at The American College, where she developed custom training programs for major firms, including Merrill Lynch, State Farm, and Aflac.

Laurie earned her B.A. from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA and MSM in Leadership from The American College. Laurie currently lives in Berwyn, PA and enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
