Tim Donahue

Tim Donahue is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Hornor, Townsend & Kent Inc. (HTK), a wholly-owned Broker-Dealer and Registered Investment Adviser subsidiary of The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company. Tim is also a member of the HTK Board of Directors, serves on the SIFMA Independent Contractor Firms Committee and LOMA Broker-Dealer Operations Committee, is a member of FSI (Financial Services Institute), and is a dispute/resolution Arbitrator with FINRA.

Prior to becoming President and CEO of HTK, Tim was previously HTK’s Managing Director, where he led the daily operations for the firm, led the supervision of financial advisers and managed the relationships with strategic partners. Before joining HTK in 2013, Tim was Director of Operations at Boenning & Scattergood, held various roles at WR Hambrecht + Co and was a daily business report contributor on KYW NewsRadio.

Tim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Saint Joseph’s University and is also a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute (SII) at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Tim holds the AIF® designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies ™ and is FINRA Series 24, 4, 7, 99, 52, 63, and 65 licensed.

Advisers once built their business around commissions and product sales, giving advice away for free, but financial transactions have become a commodity.
