Martin Skaates has been with Penn Mutual since September 2006 and currently serves as the lead software engineer on the core services team. Martin works to enable data sharing and processing capabilities between Penn Mutual administrative systems and web based services. He has been an information technology professional in the life insurance industry for 19 years and is experienced in product development, system architecture, system design, and data integration.

Prior to joining Penn Mutual, Martin was a programmer with Jackson National Life Insurance Company in Lansing, Michigan. Martin received his Bachelor of Arts from Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, Minnesota. He also holds the Fellow, Life Management Institute designation.

Martin and his wife Maureen live in Warrington, Pennsylvania with their children.
