As a Life Product and Concept Wholesaler with The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company, Shawn McConnell plays a key role in educating financial professionals on the competitive advantages of Penn Mutual’s life product portfolio — while assisting in case design and offering new sales ideas to help financial professionals grow their businesses.
Shawn joined Penn Mutual in 2018 and brings to his current role 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before Penn Mutual, he led a national brokerage operation (The Personal Producer Network); was a Regional Director and Wholesaler with Mass Mutual, Securian and OneAmerica/State Life. However, he started his career as a financial professional with Prudential and Northwestern Mutual.
Shawn received a Bachelor of Science degree in Management at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. Later, he returned to school to earn his MBA from Indiana Tech.
Before entering the financial services industry, Shawn served in the U.S. Navy.
